My work is textile based and made for both interior and exterior places. It is the nature and texture of cloth that gives me the materials with which to express my ideas of depth and movement. I construct the pieces with 'stuffs and residues' from my studio and garden and make objects, or printed surfaces, which shift and change in response to their surroundings. I use shape or colour; shape gives the object a movement and colour creates depth on a flat surface. I want to evoke a sense of optimism and hope, factors that help make our surroundings enjoyable.
My range of work includes-
# Three-dimensional stretched and filled textile pieces. 'Objects New plant material 'bugs' for the conservatory and large airy places' to figures using circus as a theme.
